A Flower Girl’s Guide

From the bridal party, to the rehearsal, to the wedding itself, the role of the flower girl is an important part of every ceremony. In order to prepare for the big day, it is important to discuss with your daughter the responsibilities of walking down the aisle, along with the overall purpose of her duties. Flower girls on the timid side may feel more comfortable sharing the role with someone else under “the buddy system,” while more outgoing girls may need to hold off on getting dressed until just before the wedding in order to avoid getting her flower girl dress dirty or stained. Weddings can also often leave younger children feeling impatient and/or exhausted as the day draws on, so it’s important to keep them entertained in between wedding day duties. If your little one is feeling a little unsure about taking on this large responsibility, refer to the infographic below to ensure everything goes smoothly for the big day ahead
